Following the success of its first store in Shibuya, Mori’s Library Omotesando opened in March.
Since Mori’s Library opened in Shibuya in 2015 it has offered a place to relax in the busy city where ‘books and people can connect’.
Now, a second store is opening in Omotesando!
When project manager for the first store in Shibuya, Shusuke Mori, asked for help on the crowdfunding website, Readyfor?, he couldn’t have known that his appeal would receive 9530% of the required funds, which is a Japanese record. The appeal for the second store also quickly soared to 1.7 million Yen, which is another record.
Located in the fashion center of Tokyo, Omotesando, the second store inherited its style from the original in Shibuya. It’s also has a similarly amazing collection of books and a spacious, comfortable space where you can listen to music, have a beer or a dessert, and enjoy the pleasure of reading in an atmosphere that is the embodiment of relaxation.
Additionally, when you order a drink you can set down your thoughts on the store’s coasters. Once you’re done you can read others’ comments and see if you find your friends, like-minded strangers, or even just a book recommendation.
Unlike the first store, the Omotesando branch doesn’t work on a membership system, so you can go anytime you like. If you are looking for a spot to relax in the busy city, I couldn’t recommend a place more highly than Mori’s Library.Address: B3F, Omotesandou Hills, 4-12-10, Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, 150-0001, Japan
