Ginza is well-known for its cuisine and TsuruTonTan is the perfect place to experience ‘Cool Tokyo Style’. But what’s so great about it?
TsuruTonTan already has 13 stores in Japan selling its famous udon noodles. Now, it has added a 14th location thanks to TsuruTonTan Udon Noodle Brasserie opening in Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
Aside from the familiar udon noodles, TsuruTonTan Udon Noodle Brasserie has exclusive sides for you to enjoy. The TonTan Roll Sushi Temaki, famous for its ice cream like appearance, the cute and colourful Roll Sushi, and their many flavoured Gua Bao are all side dishes you don’t want to miss.
Prices start at 700 Yen, which is cheap for Ginza. The store is open until 4am for late night snacks. The bar is the perfect place to have a quiet drink and enjoy the nighttime view.
As the name Brasserie, which is French for bistro, would suggest, the interior design merges eastern and western influences and creates an atmosphere that will amaze you the first time you walk in.
The restaurant has tables that seat up to six, and uses high-backed wooden chairs to create a sense of space between the tables. The style and arrangement of seating means you can relax and enjoy your meal in privacy. The restaurant also has a live band to serenade you as you dine.
The 12 person Kabuki Room is decorated with paintings of Kabuki theater. Inside the room you can also see signatures of famous Kabuki performers.
The six person Sumo Room has a black and white motif with drawings of sumo wrestling on the wall and chair covers inscribed with words, like Oozeki and Yokozuna. The design and inscriptions highlight the theme of the room.
